HUDA THUNKIT?

Jasmine Huda, the KSPR reporter, is kicking the dust off her stylish shoes and kicking Springfield to the curb. She told City Hall types that she's leaving "for the greener pastures of St. Louis, where she has accepted 'a reporting job,' not sure which station," says a source.

Who's the new dean of the City Hall press corps?

  1. Ahh, that old thread. That was way fun :)

I never thought I'd say it, but I'm almost sorry to see her go.

  2. Did anyone ever ID the anonymous CBS lothario mentioned in the earlier thread? Where does he live, I wonder ...

Judge Powell may be spending some lonely Saturday nights in the future ...

  4. Public Notice: and Announcement

I declared a Declaration of Candidacy at 4:21 on Friday 7, 2007 for MAYOR OF SPRINGFIELD.

The issues remain about the same as his race for Zone 2 City Council of which was lost by 50 votes to Shelia Wright who has been on the City Council for 12 years. In addition the City should have had the Alice Pittman School and any others that were up and running the whole time---open to SENIORS. Why was the Mayor talking every day at the Emergency Management News Conferences about tree limbs being removed---while people were still in the cold and out of food. On the average of a $1,000 loss by each family times the 150,000 people in Springfield comes to 150 Million lost by the people and still all we are worried about is paying FEMA 22 Million to haul off a few limbs!

If we had a plan for this kind of Ice Storm then I would hate to see what kind of plan we have for a terrorist attack. People can learn more by going to www.reedforcouncil.com or coming soon: www.writeinmayor.com

People can contribute up to $50 and checks are being accepted made out to:

    Reed for Mayor
    1441 S. Estate Avenue
    Springfield, MO 65804

  6. # In the Bible and in later legends, Nimrod (Hebrew נמרד Nimrod or Nimrōdh), son of Cush, son of Ham, son of Noah, was a Mesopotamian monarch and "a mighty hunter before the Lord". He is mentioned in the table of nations (Genesis 10), in the First Book of Chronicles, and in the Book of Micah. In the Bible he is an obscure figure; in later interpretations, as recorded by Josephus and the rabbis who compiled the midrash, he is the subject of innumerable legends. ...

  12. So I actually read what this REED guy wrote and it doesn't seem he knows how things work.
    Am I wrong on this?

If he thinks that we are paying FEMA to remove limbs I think he'll need a cours on how government really works.

  13. that's course. of course.

  14. Da FEMA is tour TAX MONEY---who pays that DA?

  15. Mr. Reed would like to respond to all of this, but he is awaiting instructions, to be beamed down at any moment, from the the lead attack ship sent from his home planet of Dorkon 5.

  17. All must be loosing sleep that Reed almost won against a 12 year council person and now is running as a write in for mayor.

Reed won by getting the issues that he spent 15 years on---that are important to the people of Springfield!

  18. What do you mean won?

  19. By getting the issue out there---what have you done to help anybody---Mr. Brain!

Pervy motels, city leaders and balls -- in just two days! Springfield must have taught her a thing or two.

  27. Thank you, Brad B, for getting us back on track here. Jasmine's departure is a loss to all of us to have figured out that 33 is the new #2 station (Sorry, KOLR) Please, please, please, news directors and editors (hello-- anybody there?) grant your patrons a good, solid and not straight-out-of-J-School city hall reporter, one who doesn't read fashion mags at meetings and who stays on the beat for more than 8 months. We miss you already, Jasmine.
PS Steven, get your own blog. You are not winning any write-in votes here.

  28. I thought Ron Davis claims to be a reporter---I am sure we would get fair and rounded coverage---right?

    ReplyDelete
  29. "Fair and rounded": Does this refer to Jasmine or Ron's butt? Or both?
