LAURA BUSH HINTS 'SEXISM' DRIVES MIERS NAYSAYERS

Appearing on NBC's "Today," the first lady was asked if critics of Harriet Miers were being sexist when they said she wasn't qualified to sit on the high court.

"That's possible, I think that's possible," Laura Bush said. If given enough time, she might have included the "elitism" allegation, but you know how it is on those network morning shows -- all "quickly" this and "only a few seconds left" that. Maybe the Bush Administration should put Miers on Martha Stewart's daytime show and let her make meat loaf. More than a good supreme court nominee, we love a good meat loaf.
