OKLAHOMA BOMBER IDENTIFIED

Joel Henry Hinrichs III is -- was -- his name. He was 21 and an OU engineering student.

According to the Oklahoma Daily, Hinrichs was a "suicide bomber" who blew up outside the football stadium in Norman on Saturday night, during the second quarter of the OU-Kansas State game.

The apartment complex where Hinrichs lived was evacuated Sunday morning; the OU public safety department said there could be car explosives in the parking lot. Then again, maybe not. Early reports are often wrong, including last night's belief that Hinrichs had a second bomb. He did not, according to OU president David Boren.

There was a second explosion, but it was "the bomb squad making sure there was no second device in the area," according to the Oklahoma Daily. We don't know what that means, but we do know someone named Scooby Axson is helping report the story.
