U.S. HELD HOSTAGE BY CHENEY-RUMSFELD 'CABAL'

We're not saying it, though we believe it. The source for this amazingly brutal accusation is Col. Lawrence Wilkerson, former chief of staff to Colin Powell.

What he said, according to the Financial Times:

“What I saw was a cabal between the vice-president of the United States, Richard Cheney, and the secretary of defense, Donald Rumsfeld, on critical issues that made decisions that the bureaucracy did not know were being made. Now it is paying the consequences of making those decisions in secret, but far more telling to me is America is paying the consequences.”

Wilkerson was in the administration until early 2005. He was in a position to see and know the truth. He says the United States is "courting disaster" with the current gang in power.
