A MESSAGE FROM JAMES KEOWN'S SISTER

The radio talker accused of poisoning his wife had a personal blog, but it's bitten the Blogger dust.

Keown's sister, Shawna, posted a note to CHATTER to direct people to her new blog:
This is James Keown's sister and I wanted everyone to go to my blog to tell me what they think about this since his site is down. There is no way in hell he would ever do that to anyone! Here is my site: http://shawnaek.blogspot.com/
Click here to get to Shawna Keown's blog. There's not much there yet, but as her brother's case moves through the system, that's likely to change.

As mentioned in an earlier post, we're not sure James Keown is good for the charge. Funny, but we really believe in that innocent-until-proven-guilty thing. And the case against Keown sounds weak.

From an anonymous listener and bystander - don't know if he's guilty, but if the following reports are true ...

He reportedly told his wife's parents when asked how he thought she got the antifreeze in her system, that he speculated that she may have picked up a bottle of soda or drink on the street that someone had put antifreeze in and drank it ... who picks up opened bottles of soda on a street and just decides to drink it?

He said little about having a wife who had died to people in Jefferson City ... I've had friends whose spouse died - they can't help themselves from talking about their spouse. Talking through it and about the person is part of the grieving process for the vast, vast majority of people.

If you spouse died from an unknown cause, wouldn't you be doing everything in your power to find out why and how this happened?

He already had plans to spend the insurance money on a car and house?

Another blogger wrote that the guy has a history of lying and reportedly knew Keown was stealing from a previous job where he was fired - not a good pattern of behaviour.

Keown had a reputation for acting like the "man about town" and liked to drop names on his radio show of who he knew, places he'd been, who he hangs out with; he liked to let listeners know that he knew about big news stories before most others did - liked to give the impression that he was a connected and important guy. The impression he gave on the radio was that money impressed him.

He knew when he came back to Missouri that he was under suspicion; he seemed to do nothing to try to cooperate with authorites in Boston to find out why his wife died - he just left town a month after her death.

These are all questions that have been put forth in the public arena and have to be addressed to determine the guilt or innocence of this man.

I am James Keowns sister, Denna. He is not guilty! The love he and julie shared was pure. I miss them both very much. I hope the system will work how it should. I know that love and innocence is real. I cant wait for the trial to be done so he can be free and i can enjoy his love once again. Miss him lots and my prayers are with him always. Will be looking forward to his release soon. Because I know how much he loved his wife Julie. Like the rest of the family. LoVE YOU ALWAYS Denna.

all the warning signs were there.....living above means. outlandish stories, differing upon the setting and the people listening, people in the real world know that James Keown would not even be a candidate to mow "the yard"...let alone be accepted into the MBA business School..... That doesn't me that person will commit murder. The people around him should have had the sense and courage to tell him he was full of himself, and that he was a fraud, and especially some of these that employed him, who had the resources to find out then, not now. Having the door slammed in your face tends to humble a person and bring them back to earth.....James had nothing but enablers in his life

Just watched dateline about this crime of murder this guy really is a character telling his mother in law that his wife must of picked up a bottle of soda on the street an took a drink come on why don't that piece of garbage have a little bit of diginity and let the lady rest in piece and be honest for a change an admit what he's done instead of putting on a face of a loving husband and show his real face of a sick phyco

I know for a FACT if I was being accused of something I did not do I would not be as calm as he was in court. I do not believe Julie would have committed suicide slowly as the facts show it was ingested over a period of time. How could she have ingested antifreeze without her knowledge? So I just returned from store with a 20 oz. plastic bottle of gatorade and opened it and took a smell of it then drank some and just like I remembered it, very tart. Then I poured a about 2 -3 ozs of antifreeze in it and smelled it and could not detect a difference then I poured in 2-3 ozs more and shook it up and could not visibly see a difference as it mixes well with water as it was designed and smelled it again and since I know what antifreeze smells like I could detect a very slight odor of it. If he had given Julie a drink of tainted gatorade the first time she would have memorized that taste and unless she purchased a fresh bottle she would not have ever thought anything different as long as he kept plenty of it in fridge. Did he always have 2 bottles in fridge? Did they always pour into a glass or drink from the bottle?
If they kept 1 bottle and always poured into a glass and someone witnessed him drinking from same bottle this could have helped his case. Did they test him for the presence of it in his system maybe he purchased a case someone from the factory spiked and since her system was not as strong as his she was effected more by it. Odds are in cases like this love or money motivates people to do this kind of thing and $250,000.00 is a lot of money. Sounds like he had the gift of gab and a personality to impress with material things and wanted everything now. If he wanted to leave a mark on earth he got it,sadly at the cost of someones life and all the friends and family it will effect forever.

He had the motive=money. He also is proved to be not trustworthy.

Monster, hope he gets what he deserves in prison-someone to kill him!

Wow! What a tragic story. I wasn't at the trial, but from what I've read and heard on tv, you'd have to be delusional to think this guy is innocent. He Is obviously a narcissistic, lying sociopath. Thank God he doesn't have children!

He lied to do many about how she died. He is so guilty. That's the reason why he kept feeding her sports drinks.

Blatantly obvious he did it. Blatantly obvious he was a huge fat mouth loser braggart. Blatantly obvious his family are of the same scumbag cloth as he. Hope he is raped repeatedly in prison for the rest of his days. Hope someone eventually offs him so the taxpayers don't have to waste money on his upkeep. It never should have been born. Who were the idiots who believed all his lies?

Rot in hell you bastard.

Why should anyone believe the sister of the murderer. It is very well known that families of these filth never accept the obvious. Piss off, Shawna; your brother is a murderer and an ugly fuck to boot. And you are an idiot.

Julie was a nurse. Why would a nurse select such a painful way to commit suicide. James is guilty and his family is in deniable. He has been enables all his life by the women in his life, esp. his mother.

I grew up with James in Jefferson City. I didn't know him until high school. I do know his sister Shawna was in prison for some time (not sure why) and James' parents raised Shawna's child. Anyway, talking to James was always like playing roulette. You never knew which side of the truth he was going to land on. He never looked into my eyes when he spoke which I always found very creepy. He always looked up at something and then met my eyes at the end of his statement. I knew he had very low self-esteem (bordering on self-hatred) for him to tell so many untrue stories simply to impress a bunch of fellow high schoolers. I hated hearing his lies but felt too awkwardly sorry for him to call him on it. Seriously, he was truly pathetic.
But lying and killing are two separate things. Do I think he killed his wife? Definitely! He DID kill his wife and he knows he did, just as he knew that a reality existed separate from his untrue statements.
I never dreamed he would grow to become a man with the same pathetic self-hatred he had as a kid. It's one thing to be an adolescent who lies because of low self-esteem, but when a grown man tells ridiculous tales to bolster his image and career,... Good Lord!! He's so pathologically and systematically crazy, he probably felt that killing his wife was the next logical solution. James Keown is batshit crazy and I'm glad he's absent from society.
