'STREET TALK' TAPING

It's Tuesday. Another "Street Talk" skedded for this afternoon, with guests Matt Brown from the Springfield Police Department, and Jerry Jacob of KYTV. Should be interesting.

Funny how Ron's archives disappear right after he publishes victims addresses and then they get shot.

you can still find them in the search..

I just listened to the podcast from the Feb 1 show. Hats off, gentleman. It was an entertaining an informative show. Audio was a little tinny, but I'm sure you'll get the bugs worked out. I'm looking forward to the next show.

VJD did seem to take the questioning a bit hard... but I wouldn't put it past either side to use the "contraversy" to gain viewers (for street talk) or listeners (for the KSGF morning sho)! It sure did get the local blogosphere going at least.

OK I can't leave this alone any longer. About the names/address list: I wholeheartedly doubt that these cocaine dealers who have come from Kansas City to sell dope, shoot folks, etc. in Springfield are spending much time on the internet at all, let alone searching through blogger.com to find addresses. Blog surfing is not going to be high (no pun intended) on their priority list. I wonder if how many of these guys have even seen a blog, let alone a bunch of blogs from the Ozarks. Give me a break. There are a million ways to find addresses that don't involve blog surfing--following people home from a club is one such way. Hmmm.

Funny how "ron was wrong" is too afraid to post criticism under his or her real name. Probably a chickenhawk yellow elephant.

What do you consider "right after" to mean? Been well over a week now. Blogger up and died over the weekend with some blogs still not fully functional.

Do you also find it "funny" that Cheney ordered emails discussing Valerie Plame to be purged "right after" Fitzgerald asks for them? Do you find it "funny" that Dubya calls for an investigation on who leaked his secret illegal wiretapping scheme "right after" explaining the program in great detail publicly, confirming everything that had been leaked? Do you find it "funny" that Dubya stayed on vacation "right after" New Orleans and the Gulf Coast were hit by Katrina?

Nope, you're too busy being concerned that Ron publishes public information released by the Springfield PD. Complained to them yet, Mr or Mrs Chickenhawk?

Ron Was Wrong said...

As a matter of fact, I did complain to the SPD. They said (and I quote) "Ron Davis is an ass. But we can't stop him from publishing that information. Even if it does get somebody shot."

DocLarry said...

The coward known as "ron was wrong" (how original) claims to quote the SPD. Hmmm, if they think it was wrong to publish the PUBLIC INFORMATION then why was it posted on their web site and included in a news release sent to all media?

And what evidence do you or the SPD have that publishing that information got somebody shot? Are you just ASSuming?

Chickenhawk, is this the best you can do?

Pay Attention: these drug dealers are NOT blog surfing! Get real! That did not happen, is not happening, and will not happen. They do not give a rip about a bunch of nerd bloggers in the Ozarks. They are not looking at your blogs fellas. They did not figure out who to sell dope to or who to shoot through a blog! Get a grip on reality please.

BTW: reality also dictates that it is also highly doubtful that a police officer would call someone an ass, but also, why would THEY care? They are too damn busy fighting crime as it is, and now you're telling me they have to deal with idiots who take their time complaining about a blogger. Please give the police a break, too. That is just plain dumb.

But still, WHO was brandishing an AK-47 from a rooftop in downtown Springfield last Friday night????

Gosh, I don't know if I want to go to the red light district if I might get shot?

Maybe we ought to move all the bars to Commercial Street, the cops can block it off at National and Grant and let all the bad guys shoot each other.

Take a pill, Doctor Larry. If you can't stand the heat of having someone challenge your goofy little positions or those of your sidekick, you've probably no business playing the game of blogs or public access television.

DocLarry said...

Anon: Public Access Television? Go look that up. We buy time, we accept advertising. Street Talk is on a LOCAL ORIGINATION channel. Learn the difference.

I'm also not quite sure what you mean by not being able to "stand the heat of having someone challenge" my position. Who's signing his posts, and who's hiding behind "anonymous?" Why are you so afraid to put your name on your opinion?

Anonymous said...

Excuuuuuuuse me. I forgot you were on the verge of busting over to the major networks with your LOCAL ORIGINATION channel programming. Pardon me for confusing your project with a modestly budgeted pay-for-time effort with tiny viewership on a local cable system. I know that's not your gig.

As for your prickly sensitivity about anonymous posts, if the keeper of this blog doesn't want to allow them, perhaps it's up to him to exclude that as an option for those who, for any number of legitimate reasons, might prefer to express themselves anonymously.

Anon:

The "keeper of this blog" doesn't want to stifle conversation. I also don't have any respect for cowards who claim convictions but won't affix their names to them. Then again, it must be tough being you, so advanced in your typing skills but still in elementary school.

DocLarry said...

Anon can attack the show all he wants. Hell, he can attack me all he wants. I have a show, he doesn't. I have a blog, he doesn't. I have a brain, he.....well there's something there. Just a small one, though.

Words mean things. Facts are important. Reality is reality. Accuracy is important. Cowardice is anonymous.

Also Anonymous, So Screw DocLarry said...

I loved reading what the police said about Ron. It confirms what I figured people said about him.

DocLarry said...

And of course anonymous sources are always 100 percent accurate. Cowards who hide behind anonymity and claim to be quoting unidentified sources are about as reliable as CNN pretty boys reporting 12 miners have been found alive. Of course the ditto-heads reading this wouldn't know about that because they only watch Faux News.

DocLarry said...

And for the original anonymous who wrote "those who, for any number of legitimate reasons, might prefer to express themselves anonymously." What legitimate reasons might you have to remain anonymous? Isn't it your type who also claim if you're not doing anything wrong you have nothing to fear?
