The Democrats have two more candidates to run against Rep. Roy Blunt, majority whip of the House. Charles Christrup of Cape Fair filed just before 3 p.m., and Jack Truman of Lamar filed just before 4 p.m.
Christrup has lost to Blunt before. There is no reason to believe this run will be any different.

A Democratic candidate. Named Truman. From Lamar, no less.
Betcha he drops a big bomb, too.
Just kinda a nit pick ... but right now, aren't the Dems running against each other at this point?
Where's Krieder?
I am going to become a Trotskyite.
This means that Talent wins because Bunt can get his usual 70% and carry enough Repug votes to carry him over statewide.
Maybe the demos can ask Lieberman to come live in Branson and run him after he gets out of a job. Holy-Joe for the 7th -- a perfect match.
This whole "Draft Kreider" thing is more than a little reminescent of those scenes in Monty Python's "Life of Brian" when the multitudes were insisting that poor old reluctant Brian was indeed The Messiah.
Except multitudes aren't involved in this case, and Jim Kreider's no Messiah, either. He's a good man and he'd be a vast improvement over Blunt, but so would most any green garden vegetable. If for some reason Kreider really were dumb enough to wait until today to file, then he would deserve the defeat that would await him at the polls.
Yes, Mr. Stone, those Branson voters are gonna run right out and vote for Joe Lieberman ... once they've lit their shabbas candles and polished off some gefiltefish.
"Be sure to come on down to Uncle Joe Lieberman's Hillbilly BBQ, where the pork ribs, ham and sausage are all to die for! Oy vey!"
I'm recycling MY campaign signs... I blame the ridiculous $500 spending limit.
I'll bet Blunt actually has to spend money on his OWN campaign this season. It's gonna be fun!
