FRIDAY'S NEWS ON THURSDAY

Friday's local news will include talk about gangs and violence. How do we know? Springfield police and the Greene County prosecutor have a 10 a.m. news conference -- in an alleyway, of all places -- to "make an announcement regarding the Grand Jury’s first indictment. Chief [Lynn] Rowe will address the rise of criminal activity, acts of violence in the Springfield Community, and discuss the newly formed Gang Task Force."

The news conference will be held in the alley behind 409 N. Boonville Ave. Ambience, you know.

Its strange how the Editor of the News Leader took up the torch and quickly spewed forth his comments of the evils of gambling. How it would increase crime, break the local economy, ruin Bransons good image, (what good image) and on and on....
Now the City fathers in Springfield are going to hold a news conference about Gangs and their prosecution. There is a mugging or thugging every night in Springfield, and a murder and stabbing thrown in for good measure already. We must already have gambling somewhere in the area and just not know it. Folks, crime is already here, always has been, and always will be. Has nothing to do with Gambling coming to Roackaway Beach now does it? I believe the Editor thinks his community is the "home of clean" living. 'taint so! Apparently they don't all tote bibles in Springfield or the surrounding area.

Hope nobody gets mugged while listening to the announcment about the new task force to stop gangs. Way to create the "mood".

Cool, very West Side Story. Is Officer Krupke going to be there?

Of course it would be 409 NORTH Boonville. There is no South Boonville.

Just curious, what do people think they know about the Springfield Runners?

"...what do people think they know..."

I'm not exactly sure what you're asking. Are you?

Could you perhaps rephrase that in a bit more literate way?
