AWW, CAT KILLERS FEEL BAD

The two men known locally as the CU cat killers have their defenders, though we do not know why this should be so.

Someone with an obvious shouting problem left this comment on a News-Leader editorial that called for criminal prosecution of the men:
I KNOW FOR A FACT THAT THIS CAT WAS NOT A HOUSE CAT! ALSO THAT THEY DID NOT KILL THIS CAT FOR THEIR OWN ENJOYMENT, ALSO THEY FELT EXTREMELY BAD FOR WHAT HAD HAPPENED! ALSO THEY DID NOT "STONE" THE CAT NONE OF THEM "STONED" THE CAT... SO IF YOU ARE GOING TO SAY RUDE AND MEAN THINGS ABOUT THESE MEN PLEASE KNOW YOUR STORY BEFORE YOU OPEN YOUR MOUTH...PLEASE!! I ALSO KOW FOR A FACT THAT THE WORDS THAT ARE ON THIS FOURUM ARE CUTTING THROUGH THE HEARTS OF THOSE MEN AND THERE FAMILY... AND THAT BOTH MEN REALLY DO LOVE ANIMALS... THEY FELT IT WAS BETTER TO HELP THE CAT THAT WAS HALF DEAD RATHER THAN LEAVE IT IN THERE FOR SOMEONE TO DROP ONE OF THOSE 50 POUND PLATES ON THER HEAD!! SO PLEASE WATCH YOUR WORDS!!
Words are cutting through the hearts of the cat killers? They feel extremely bad for what they've done? Good.

I tried to post this when the story first broke, but I couldn't make comments. Then I was going to post on it my blog, but I didn't think anybody read my blog.

This person's posting sounds more like what I imagine the story to be. It probably wasn't a house cat.

After reading the original post, I figured it was a half dead pussy that these guys put out of their misery.

"Look, over there!"

"Why that's one sick pussy."

"Yea, we ought to put it out of it's misery," he said, as he picked up a stone.

"Ok, let's stone this pussy!"

"Gee, I don't know Eddie, I am not without sin."

Wow! The get-a-life (pun unintended) crowd is in full swing. Do you really think valuable and limited police and prosecutor time and resources should be spent on this??? what about gangs? meth? drunk drivers that might affect PEOPLE? Face it, they were wrong, then punished quickly and thoroughly. Try a blog subject that deals with something useful.

I love animals and cannot tolerate those who inflict cruelty to them, but I have to say that I am once again amazed at the level of response to this particular story, about a cat, when each and every day there are children (HUMAN BEINGS) in our same city who suffer from horrendous abuse that no blogger ever cares to write about.

So you would have Ron and all other bloggers pull a reverse to what the neo-cons have been saying about the Press since the start of the Iraq war? ie: "Why don't they report the GOOD news" Aren't you in effect asking for "All the bad news all the time?"
I seem to remember several stories on local news outlets and on Chatter related to Greene County's horrible stats related to child abuse, and yes sadly there are enough cases of child abuse here each and every day to fill blogs and TV news reports with nothing but, HOWEVER, my utility bill is not helping to pay the salary of those people to abuse others while "on the clock".

I am amazed, amused and shocked at the small minds of people who want to believe that everything they read is the 100% pure fact! Were you there? I doubt it, so if you do not know the facts, why do you speak like you are the judge and jury! Sure a wrong decision was made, but unless you have never made a wrong decision, then who are you to judge what really happened, sounds like to me this attack is really more against CU than against some good men who made a poor choice! So if you want to complain about things in life that are not fair, or right (and there are lots and lots of them) then please be sure you have ALL of your facts before you run your mouths. You complain about your tax dollars being wasted, so lets take time and money away from going after REAL criminals. If you were a victim of a real crime, you would want them to spend that time and money helping you, not a wild cat!

Maybe they got the story wrong and the cu guys were stoned when they killed the cat, not that they stoned the cat. Although thats not stoner-like behavior...and I read busplunge

Are the above anons saying stories of animal abuse are not worthy of ink or 1's and 0's because human beings are being abused too? I agree that more facts should come out about the cat incident, but why haven't the CU employees in question, these "good men", come forward to clear the air of all this cat dander?
The news report of the incident was reported in the news section. The call for punishment was printed on the N-L OPINION page. Further more, this blog, like all others, is a vehicle for the operator to state his/her opinion.
