The owner of perhaps the best-known woman's voice in Springfield radio circles, Rippe was co-hosting the morning show with Woody P. Snow on KGBX. But while you'll still find a "Woody & Cindy" banner on the station's home page, the pairing is kaput, sources say.
Rippe has been moved to another shift. Snow remains what he's always been.

in the parlance of cc springfield, "getting your own show" means woody doesn't want to work with you anymore. maybe you are crowding his ego. maybe you are a professional, which highlights the fact that he is not. maybe he is just simply a crabby old fart. he fusses, they jump. they'd also like to avoid the bad vibe firing a popular personality would create, so they offer you "your own show". it's also a way to keep you from collecting on the severance clause in your contract.

she did throw a hissy fit when they brought rippe on board, so you may be right.
Surely KGBX's morning show has fallen in ratings in recent years.

And his routines are so old and tired.
I haven't been able to stomach Woody for quite a while. I listened a little while recently when he was on vacation, but Kevin and Liz at 95.5 are great together and I'd prefer not to start my morning off in such a negative way (Woody).
I concur. Who wants to start their morning off with a rude Woody?
