The conservative columnist also known as Robert Novak swore at Democratic strategist James Carville and stormed off the set of a CNN political program on Thursday.

Carville was gigging Novak about being a suck-up to the radicals on the right. The exchange:

Carville: "He's gotta show these right-wingers that he's got backbone, you know. The Wall Street Journal editorial page is watching you. Show 'em you're tough."

Novak: "Well, I think that's bullshit, and I hate that."

And away Novak fled, taking off his mic and walking off the set.

Novak had been told that he would be asked about the Valerie Plame leak case. He took a powder before those questions could come.

A couple hours later, CNN said it was suspending Novak because he swore.

You -- yes, you -- can watch the exchange here and marvel at Novak's marvelously rich delivery of the word "bullshit." He's a pro cusser, you betcha.
