GRANDMA NOT THE BEST BABYSITTER

Neighbors in Aurora, Colo., say Carol Lynn Pappas, 52, was an oddball. But they never thought she was violent.

On Saturday, Pappas was alone with her 21-month-old granddaughter. She called 911. Police arrived. According to The Denver Channel:

When officers arrived at her home, [Pappas] at first refused to open the front door but when she did, they found that her hands were covered with blood and she was still holding a cordless phone, Aurora police said.

The toddler had been stabbed several times, cops say. "A horrible mess," Aurora police Sgt. Rudy Herrera said, quoting a fellow officer.
