Here's your jumbo shrimp, kids -- a black tiger shrimp over 15 inches in length. Dominican Today -- no relation to USA TODAY -- has some details and a pic.
What you need to know:
•Edilberto Flechas bought the shrimp for $800.
•He's from Cartagena, Colombia.
•Joan Wilder was not involved in any way
How did the shrimp wind up in Colombian waters? No one knows.

Love the outdated Joan Wilder allusion. I confess I had to click. Then it all came back to me. The sultry beauty. The rakish hero. The pot. The mudslide. The eighties.
Few know it, but this shrimp is the secret witness in the Barry Bonds/Balco Labs/steroid scandal.
If you troll for news regularly, you haven't heard much about the shrimp, up to now. Certainly not in the mainstream, or on any of the local channels. Not because the shrimp has clammed up or been deep-sixed. It's just that prosecutors have much bigger fish to fry.
I am dreaming of the Mother of All Scampi...
God you guys must be bored.
Well, sure. We're at work, right? :)
"The average size shrimp is about eight inches long. The average Black Tiger shrimp is nine to eleven inches long."
It's true, I swear.
Well, I guess you could say this one was the John Holmes of the crustacian world. For gawd's sake ... don't show this photo to Angelina ...
Once you go Black Tiger, you never go back...
