According to witnesses, a 1990 Oldsmobile 88 Royale was Northbound on Campbell when the driver’s vehicle crossed the roadway from east to west over a curb, traveling down the sidewalk, striking a utility pole and then collided head-on into another pole.
The driver was pronounced dead by paramedics on scene. We will be investigating a possible medical condition, which contributed to the fatality.

WRECK ON BUSY CAMPBELL AVENUE KILLS ONE
The crash happened just after noon Wednesday in the 2400 block of South Campbell Avenue. From the Springfield Police Department:
