MUGGED

Local bloggers meet Tuesday night at Patton Alley Pub. Tony Messenger, editorial-page editor of the News-Leader, shows up with mugs. Big-ass mugs, matter of fact. Delightful.

From this day to the ending of the world, we in it shall be remembered -- we few, we happy few, we band of bloggers.

Armed with mugs, so beware.

Andy,

I wound up with an extra portion, so if you'd like, I can voluntarily* share my good fortune by way of giving you one of mine.

* As opposed to having gov't FORCE me to give you one. Sorry, couldn't resist, it was arguing w/Ron that made me do it. ;)

I'm writing a letter to my senator in support of legislation to get the mug to which I was entitled to but was unable to obtain on my own because of my own fault. But I've got an excuse, so I still deserve it.

Or maybe we should just take mugs away from those who got extra mugs, it won't hurt them as much. ;)

Duane,

As it happens, I wound up with TWO extra mugs... I shall put it in a safe place until such time as I can voluntarily give it to you.

Andy... it's not charity, it's just my way of giving back to the community.
