INVESTIGATED BY SERGEANT FRIDAY

Cowboys 2000, the now-a-memory Springfield nightclub, is being sued by a woman who claims she suffered injuries to her teeth last year. A News-Leader report on a lawsuit includes this keeper line:
Sundae Mundy filed a petition against Cowboys 2000 in Greene County Circuit Court.
Mundy claims the incident happened on Aug. 17, 2006. For those of you scoring at home, that was a Thursday.

Sundae Mundy...wasn't she Dragnet Dan Ackryoid's nemesis?

Baskin Robbins' first-o-the-week flavor?

I've heard stories about these two boys in Kennett, MO.... Lemonjello and Orangello. Dead serious.

And my dad told me stories of two girls he went to school with in Kokomo, IN... Ima and Ura Pigg. Twins.

=)

I wonder if she is related to Thursday and Friday, the twins from The Undertaker and His Pals.

Back in the 1960s (and maybe the decades before and after) on College west of Kansas, there was a little diner called Pigg's Lunch. The owners were Preston Pigg and his wife, Minnie Pigg.

Don't know what Minnie's maiden name was. Hope it wasn't Mouse.

I believe her maiden name was Sota.

Mr. T. Howell...

I think you are referring to
" the virgin Connie Swail"
who, if memory serves me right was not the nemesis of Dan Akryoid rather the love interest.

Don't forget Pep Streebeck.

Let's see.

The "nemesis" was Rev. Jonathan Whirley, played by Christopher Plummer. Maybe you are thinking of Joe's "maternal grandmother", Grandman Mundy.

Then, there's local "celebrity" Bob Mundy. Maybe he knows Sundae. He's nutty enough to name a daughter something like that.

Or maybe Sundae is her "stage" name. Hmm.

Oh, C2K was never open on a Thursday. They were open Wed, Fri & Sat.

Ok that last one is over the line.
There is no need to bring Ricardo Montalban into this.

Or Reggie Jackson.

Bob Munday, I heard him sing once....
Remember Friday Knight? Way back in 1966 or 1967 his son Jesse ran for student council treasurer at stagnet local high school. The election was on a Friday. In my forgettable nomination speech, I closed with, in hindsight, a terrible joke: "As the one flea on Robinson Crusoe said to the other, 'I'll see you on Friday' to vote for Jesse for treasurer. Jesse did win the election and went on to bigger and better things.
I was also responsible for the winning campaign of our college student body president: Leslie Sieg. Our campaign slogan: You Get More With Les.
Yeah, I used to be somebody!
