I'm not so sure Tony got "run off" by Wyatt or anyone else. It never seemed that Tony's head or heart were here really. He obviously enjoyed mostly writing about backroom politics in Jefferson City. I hear that's where he's going to be the reporter for the St. Louis newspaper. Of course now the question is who will Gannett import to fill that job. They probably will bring someone else in from the outside because nobody here could possibly be qualified in their eyes.

OMG. I'M CRUSHED. ABSOLUTELY, TOTALLY CRUSHED. TONY IS/WAS ONLY ONE OF ABOUT FIVE TRUE JOURNALISTS IN THE ENTIRE ROOM.

AND I PROMISE YOU, DON WYATT RAN HIM OFF.

Now there's a job for Eliot Spitzer. You know, Love Potion #9?

Gotta love how the Democrats end the "culture of corruption." They just go and hang out with the corrupted.

I'm sorry to see Tony go. Will Vincent David Jericho take credit for running him off? You bet your bottom dollar he will. My only hope is that Tony leaves by giving VDJ a nice parting column. (I almost said shot but I didn't want VDJ to have a reason to tell his listeners that he is being targeted -- again). Does this mean Ryan Cooper will apply for the job?

I think we should consider Jericho as Messenger's replacement.

Memo to Wyatt: JUST FREAKING KIDDING!!! DON'T DO IT!!!!

Post Dispatch has story Messanger political reporter in Jeff. for them. At least he will not be around here to call people gadfly on his blog.

I wish we could get Robert Ledger back! He respected people and was fair.

His blog had dropped to almost no comments anyway!

Ron using bad words I thought you are big boy at KSPR? See you in church.

So Wyatt fired Messenger?? I knew that fat SOB wouldn't last long at the SNL or in Springfield for that matter. He's too damned liberal!

Hopefully they'll bring Brian Lewis back who Messenger ran off. At least tried to be fair and balanced.

Lewis? That's funny.

I would enjoy the job of editorial page editor. Someone on this blog mentioned my name (Ryan Cooper) as a replacement.

I have a great job that not in journalism, so I'm not switching any time soon. I do enjoy writing weekly columns for the paper.

Messenger has been more than fair to conservatives and liberals in this town. It helped that he knew about the state and community.

My biggest complaint in the past has been that the editorial page editors viewed southwest Missouri with liberal disdain. The powers that be would be smart in hiring someone who can relate to the audience.

Let's hope that Journal will find a replacement for their news talk station. As a conservative, I find Jericho's holier-than-thou attitude hard to swallow. Dave Hayes was a much better man and a true friend.

KWTO could beat KSGF if they could offer more than just Booms and Rush. I would enjoy hearing Glenn Beck more often than late Sunday nights.
