I get the feeling that the folks who make lists like these feel obligated to put some current shows in the top rankings.

Blender Magazine has a penchant for this type of thing too.

I can never get sick of The Simpsons...it's still relevant and hilarious today as when it first started. It's great that the former executive producers of the show is doing a new series. I can't wait!

The first Bob Newhart series should be on here, too.

And WTF -- Dick Van Dyke should be much, much higher. DALLAS?

No MASH?!?!?!

That is absolutely criminal. I also winced at seeing Seinfeld just below Miami Vice.

The Simpsons should be higher...

Can't argue with much of the Top 20, but if X-Files is there doesn't LOST have to be somewhere in the top 35?

And Sex and the City? *Insert rhetorical question here*

Hill Street Blues needs to move up by at least 10 places. Period.

Oprah? Oprah? What about Opey? 57 Channels and there's nothing on.

Hello old friend:

Although I'm a bit bias, The Disney Sunday program needs to be listed (at least up until maybe the mid-'90s) it's probably the longest running television show on the air; no matter how many incarnations.

Hope you are well...it's been a while.

this list has no "the wire", therefore it has no credibility
